History

CHEA/ACHÉ was founded in Calgary in 1980 at a one-day conference held at the University of Calgary on 14 Feb. 1980, organized by Robert Stamp, Nancy Sheehan and David Jones

 

In 1988 CHEA/ACHÉ established Historical Studies in Education/Revue d’histoire de l’éducation, under founding editors Rebecca Coulter, R.D. Gidney, Ruby Heap, W.P.J. Millar, Michael Owen, Jud Purdy, and J.D. Wilson
